This week we’re talking about a bit of a broader topic: reading 📚 I think we can all agree that literacy is essential to education, development, and in general success in life. Books have documented humanity’s history and pushed society and civilizations forward. It’s unfortunate that when we think of and eco crisis such as deforestation and loss of habitats, we have to consider the printing and publishing of books. They’re so essential to education, reading aloud to young children is one of the best activities to stimulate language and cognitive skills. But for those of you worried about your carbon footprint and paper usage, don’t despair!! There are some great alternatives to buying brand new paper books, and some (like buying secondhand or going to the library) are cheaper too! 😊 Reading doesn’t have to stop or even be purely done electronically. You’ve got options 🤓
